Civil Engineering

Overview
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geo-technical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, and construction engineering. Civil engineering takes place on all levels: in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.
The Civil Engineering Programme was started in 1984 and the programme is Approval by the AICTE, New Delhi. Six Faculties has been working in this Department.

To produce engineers having technical education and skill development with capacity to take up professional and research assignments in Civil Engineering.

- To impart quality and real time education to contribute to the field of Civil Engineering.
- To impart soft skills, leadership qualities and professional ethics among the graduates to handle projects independently.

- Diploma graduates will have advancements in their careers or a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Civil or allied fields of Engineering.

- The student has the proficiency in streams of Civil Engineering to visualise and execute the systems for sustainable living.
- The student has the practical knowledge and experimental skills to tackle Civil Engineering problems using technical and management skills, exhibiting professional ethics to meet the societal needs.
- The programme enables the faculty to develop academic proficiency by involving in research &innovation, interaction with industry and professional bodies through technical advice.

The department of civil engineering was established in the year 1984. Civil engineering is the oldest basic branch of engineering. It basic branch of engineering. It is the branch related to “FOOD, CLOTHES AND SHELTER”.
The central & State Govt. Allocate huge amount for infrastructure development sectors. Civil engineers play an important role for the development of nation & society. The civil engineers are able to get opportunities in many fields such as urban/rural development. B&C, irrigation, Jeevan Pradhikaran, Zilla Parishad, highway project, power sector, railway construction, software and L&T CCCL companies etc. our department the Government to issue testing and consultancy to Govt Department.
