Courses Offered
The full-time diploma in engineering shall extend over a period of three academic years, consisting of 6 semesters*. The first year is common for all engineering branches.
The curriculum for all the 6 semesters of the diploma courses (engineering & special diploma courses viz. Textile Technology, Leather Technology, Printing Technology, Chemical Technology etc.) has been revised. The revised curriculum is applicable for candidates admitted from the 2015-2016 academic year onwards.

Admission Eligibility – No Age Limit
Admission For The First Year
A pass in the S.S.L.C. Examination of the Board of Secondary Education, Tamilnadu (or) any other Examination recognized as equivalent to the S.S.L.C. Examination, by the Board of Secondary Education, Tamilnadu.
Admission For The Second Year
Vocational Stream Candidates :
The students who have passed the Higher Secondary Course, Vocational stream, will be considered for admission, considering the total marks obtained by them in the +2 examination.
Academic Stream Candidates :
The students who have passed the Higher Secondary Course, Academic stream, will be considered for admission, considering the total marks obtained by them in the +2 examination.
ITI Stream Candidates :
10th passed candidates who have qualified 2 years ITI courses are eligible for Lateral entry admission to second-year Diploma course to their respective ITI courses.
Students From Other Board :
Students who studied in other state boards should produce the following certificate Migration Certificate Certificate of Permanent Residence Original Mark list, Transfer Certificate/ Course Certificate and Conduct Certificate.
